Get answers to common questions about Bikini wax.
Results typically last three to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth, hormones and lifestyle. Regular waxing weakens follicles and can extend smooth intervals. We recommend booking maintenance every four to six weeks for best, consistent results tailored by our therapists.
Some discomfort is normal, but our gentle technique, high-quality wax and experienced therapists minimise pain. We recommend gentle exfoliation beforehand, deep breathing during treatment, and over-the-counter pain relief if needed. Many clients find sessions quick and tolerable.
Aim for about a quarter-inch (roughly 5–7 mm) of hair to allow the wax to grip. If hair is too short we may trim; if it's much longer we’ll tidy it first. Regular appointments make length easy to maintain.
Bikini waxing is usually safe during pregnancy, but comfort and sensitivity change. Many clients wait until after the first trimester. Always consult your midwife or doctor for high-risk pregnancies and inform us so we can adjust positioning and care.
Before your appointment, exfoliate gently 48 hours prior, avoid tanning and heavy creams, and arrive clean. Avoid waxing if you’ve used retinoids recently. If you’re nervous, ask about numbing options or speak with your therapist before starting.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, intense exercise and sexual activity for 24–48 hours to reduce irritation. Wear breathable, loose clothing and use soothing aloe or recommended post-wax lotion. Exfoliate gently after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs and maintain smooth results.
